Homebuyer confidence in the Canberra property market can remain high with the latest HIA Population and Residential Building Hotspots report confirming a number of the city’s suburbs are among the fastest growing in Australia.
Based on data from 2015–16 financial year, the suburbs of Casey, Crace, Franklin, Gungahlin and Moncrieff all placed strongly in the list of national hotspots. While Casey lays claim to being Canberra’s fastest growing suburb.
HIA Executive Director for ACT and Southern NSW, Greg Weller, says this provides an optimistic outlook for the strength of Canberra’s housing market. “I think overall it paints a very positive picture over the last year or so in terms of strong building activity and strong population growth distributed across the ACT,” Mr Weller said.
If you’re thinking of building a new home we’d love to see you at our display home at the Moncrieff display village (pictured above) so that we can help you with your planning process. We’re open from 10am–4pm Friday–Monday.
